A grand jury recently indicted three purported gang members for an armed robbery that occurred at an eastside apartment complex.
Shakeveon Kerin Muckle and Ytrevious Roberson, both 16, and 20-year-old Tyrique Tyrell Kenney were each charged with armed robbery, robbery by force possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and multiple counts of criminal gang activity, according to the indictment filed May 28 in Clarke County Superior Court.
Roberson was additionally charged with felony fleeing and eluding a police officer because while being pursued by police he bailed from a moving vehicle, which crashed into an apartment building, the indictment states.
All three defendants were associated with the Crips street gang, according to the indictment.
The Nov. 20 armed robbery at Oak Hill Apartments was said in the indictment to have been a gang activity.
The defendants allegedly stole a pair of pink Air Jordan 60 athletic shoes and an iPhone from an 18-year-old Creek Meadow Lane resident, according to an Athens-Clarke County police incident report.
The defendants were all scheduled to be arraigned on June 19.
