Athens Hotel bust nets two arrests, nearly 9 pounds of methamphetamine

Police on Dec. 29 conducted an operation at a hotel in the 100 in the block of Old Epps Bridge Road, stemming from an investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine and it resulted in the arrests of Tyler Quinn Stalker, 40, of Ellijay and Angela Nichole Mosley, 43, of Gainesville on drug trafficking charges.

They were in possession of almost nine pounds of methamphetamine, according to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.

Stalker, who had a handgun with him, was additionally charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The investigation was a combined effort by the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force and ACCPD's gang and K-9 units and Strategic Response Team.

There will always be addicts, but we don’t have to have as many. Even if an addict wanted to get clean, there are not enough accessible and adequate treatment centers to help them. If you’re lucky enough to have a rich, compassionate family, you can get good treatment. If not, good luck.

Considering the death penalty isn’t an option, a plea deal is best. Trials cost tax payers way more money and these people aren’t even big time dealers. Get the people that supply them.
