Athens Rotarians show up for Bear Hollow Zoo!

From Athen-Clarke County Leisure Services:

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Athens for their generous donation of $27,219 to Bear Hollow Zoo!

With their help, the Leisure Services Department has been able to not just rebuild the otter observation deck, which was damaged by a tree fall last year, but make significant improvements that will help patrons enjoy their experience at the zoo for many years to come.

Perhaps the most significant improvement is the secondary access to the observation platform which allows people to enter and exit from two different places, encouraging a better flow of traffic during busy events, and improving the safety of the facility.
