An Athens woman was arrested last week for allegedly burglarizing a home and sexually assaulting its resident.
The incident occurred at Broadacres Homes apartments where Tyneshia Saravia Davenport allegedly entered the home of the 28-year-old victim and violated the victim with her fingers.
Davenport reportedly had been a guest at a cookout that the victim hosted. She allegedly left the gathering but later returned and entered the apartment uninvited and assaulted the sleeping victim.
The victim later recorded confronted Davenport and recorded her admitting to the crime, according to police.
Davenport, 28, of Broadacres Court, was charged with first-degree burglary and aggravated sexual battery.
She is being detained at the county jail pending a December 3 bail hearing.
