Brock Bowers Got Saved by His Mom After a Viral Photo With Rob Gronkowski

Former Georgia Bulldogs star tight end Brock Bowers went viral for an unfortunate photo with Rob Gronkowski during Super Bowl week in Las Vegas, but luckily for him, his mom was able to save the day.

Bowers got to fly into the Vegas to do some media appearances ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, and got to take some time to meet a fellow legend at the tight end position in Gronk. Unfortunately, a picture posted by NBC Sports Boston's Phil Perry on Xmade it look like Gronkowski was dwarfing Bowers with the two standing next to each other.

Replies to the tweet joked about Bowers' agent being nervous about the size comparison ahead of the NFL draft, but there's little doubt that the two-time John Mackey Award winner will be the first tight end taken, and almost certainly be a first-round pick.

While it may not have been intentional, Bowers' mom came to the rescue with a picture of the two tight ends from a different angle, showing that Brock and Gronkowski aren't really as different in size and stature as the other photo had people believing.

Regardless of how he stacks up to Gronkowski from a size standpoint, Bowers has easily established himself as the clear-cut best tight end to come out of college football in some time. His accolades include three straight first-team All-SEC selections, three All-American nods, and a pair of national championships. He finished his college career with 2,731 yards from scrimmage and 31 total touchdowns over just three seasons.

Now, Bowers will start getting ready to establish his own legacy at the NFL level. Regardless of where he ends up, he'll need to hit the ground running if he wants to end up having the kind of career that Gronkowski had with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
