September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and the Athens Regional Library System encourages its communities to Score Big with Your Library Card during the whole month of September!
For this year’s Library Card Sign-Up Month, the Athens Regional Library System will be raffling off prizes at the end of September at each of their 11 locations. Autographed sports books, footballs, board games, and more will be raffled off for FREE!
There are tons of ways to earn free raffle tickets! To participate in the raffle, simply sign up for a new library card or renew an expired one at your local library. Existing cardholders can earn raffle tickets by inviting a friend to sign up for or renew a library card or by sharing a photo of the raffle on their social media story and showing it to library staff. Additionally, patrons can pick up a "Passport to PINES," completing activities like checking out an ebook or placing a hold, and earn even more tickets!
With your library card, you can learn new job skills, attend a book club, go to story time with your kids, research your next school project, learn a language, explore your family history, get free admission to great places across Georgia, and much more.
This September, the Georgia Public Library Service is also encouraging all Georgians to discover the benefits of a library card through the Passport to PINES campaign. Visit any of the more than 300 PINES-participating libraries in Georgia to receive your “Passport.” Both child and adult versions are available. Complete five activities to earn a PINES sticker, and finish all ten activities for a chance to win a Kindle. For more details, visit www.georgialibraries.org/pinespassport.
Join us this September in celebrating the countless opportunities a library card can offer. Don’t miss out on your chance to Score Big with your Library Card!
