Clemson broadcaster ripped Georgia academic “embarrassment” prior to week 1 loss to Bulldogs

The lead radio broadcaster for Clemson University’s football team is gaining national attention after he made some scathing comments about Georgia’s program just one day before the Tigers were blown out by the Bulldogs in Atlanta.

Don Munsson, who’s been with Clemson’s athletic department since 2010, made the comments on a Sirius XM radio show on Friday. He particularly called out the Bulldogs’ graduation.

“There’s life after football,” Munson said. “(Dabo Swinney) goes about doing it right. There are other schools, you know, that haven’t gotten on board with that, to be perfectly frank. One of them, unfortunately, is in Athens.”

“Their graduation rate was at 41%,” he continued. “I will keep on saying it – that’s an embarrassment. That’s an embarrassment to folks in Athens, that’s an embarrassment to the university, that’s an embarrassment to the program. They need to do better than that.”
