County offering affordable swim lessons for local kids, free program for 5-year-olds

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department is offering swim lessons for children aged three and above at park pools. The programs, 'Swim School' and 'Parent/Tot Swim School,' cost $33 for county residents and $50 for non-residents.

The Department has started a free Kinderswim program to teach local children to swim. All Athens-Clarke County 5-year-olds can join this program for free. The program consists of three 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, a total of nine lessons.
