A suspect in an armed robbery was shot Tuesday after a chase that ended with the suspects bailing out of their car.

The incident occurred after police responded to a reported armed robbery at Cricket Wireless on North Avenue when officers spotted a car occupied by the suspects.

An ensuing chase ended when the suspects bailed out of the car at Commerce and Newton Bridge roads while it was still moving.

One of the suspects, identified as 25-year-old Javious Mattox, was said to be armed during a foot chase and was shot by a Clarke County sheriff’s deputy.

He was treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Authorities recovered two guns connected to the incident.

The other suspect, 21-year-old Malik Tucker, was booked into jail for armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and obstruction of law enforcement.

As is protocol for officer-involved shootings, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has taken over the investigation.

Maybe it is the braids? How tight are they? Do they pull on the scalp too much and trigger something in the brain that causes the predatory criminal behavior?

Is it time to go back to picks and afros?

Gotta try something because whatever they got going on, the shit aint workin'.
