Mike Collins does not represent me

I am writing because we share a Representative, Mike Collins, and I don’t think that we are getting good representation. We want good sense government. Lately we have not been getting that. No, you and I would not instantly agree on the solution to every problem facing this Nation, but we would go back and forth TOGETHER until we came up something that we could both live with. Our representative has sided with people who say “My way or you are toast”.

Our ancestors who founded this Nation had lived under one-person, whimsical rule and they wouldn’t put up with it. They sat (sat,sat,sat) until they had a sensible plan for a representative government.

We need to remind our representative:

• to stand up for the rule of law applied to ALL people

• that WE pay his salary, not the President or the Speaker of the House

• to stand up for the right of Congress to make monetary decision – the power of the purse

• to stand up for sensible, orderly governance by which people can plan their lives

• to stand up for our right to speak out when necessary without being punished

• that we want good sense government FOR the PEOPLE

Who can plan their lives when the rules change daily and only favored people get exemptions? If fairness ruled, SpaceX would be squealing! Don’t fall for all this tax cut talk. YOU will pay as costs are moved to State, local, and out-of-pocket.
