Former University of Georgia wide receiver Rodarius “RaRa” Thomas has reached a plea deal in the case that caused him to be kicked off of the team last year.

Originally charged with two counts of battery and one count of second-degree cruelty to children, Thomas on Monday pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct in Clarke County Superior Court.

He was sentenced to 24 months of probation under Georgia’s First Offender Act, which can lead to the dismissal of the charges upon successful completion of probation,

“Mr. Thomas can’t wait to get back on the field doing what he loves,” defense attorney Kim T. Stephens said in a statement.

Thomas was previously arrested for domestic violence in January 2023.

Charges of false imprisonment and battery were dismissed upon his entry to a pretrial diversion program.
