Fentanyl dealer arrested by Athens drug task force

The following was released today by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department:

On February 26, 2025, the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force (NEGARDTF) conducted a search warrant in the 100 block of Bedford Drive in reference to the distribution of fentanyl. The resident,

Deborah Lumpkin, a 66-year-old female of Athens, GA, allowed the suspect, Quincy Brooks, a 47-year-

old male of Athens, GA, to distribute fentanyl at the residence.

The NEGARDTF, assisted by ACCPD’s Strategic Response Team, detained three known residents,

including Mr. Brooks, Ms. Lumpkin, and Christian “Christi” Lumpkin, a 35-year-old female from Athens,

GA. During the search, quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and Schedule IV pharmaceuticals were recovered.

Brooks was charged with Possession of Fentanyl with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine with

Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Schedule IV with Intent to Distribute. Both Deborah and Christian

Lumpkin were arrested for outstanding warrants.
