Free child car seat inspections at Bishop Park

Friday, August 30, 2024, from 10:00 AM to Noon, ACCPD and the Georgia Department of Public Health will host a Car Seat Checkup Event at Bishop Park in Athens. The checkup is free. (Bishop Park is located at 705 Sunset Drive, Athens, 30606.)

“Our primary concern at this event is education, not enforcement through citations. We want anyone with questions about installing their child’s car seat or to check if their car seat is installed correctly to drop by for an inspection,” says Sergeant Vincent Shill, an ACCPD officer in our Traffic Unit.
