Five people were arrested by the police Strategic Response Team during a recent raid at the Serene at Northside apartment complex on Old Hull Road.
The Feb. 28 operation capped an investigation by the
Gang Unit of the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.
Cocaine, marijuana and several guns were seized during the execution of a search warrant.
Three of those arrested are said by police to be members of the 1831 Piru Bloods street gang. They were identified as Antoine Devonte Franklin, 24, Anthony Jamal Holder, 22, and Kasten Jammal Thomas, 23. All three were charged with violating the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.
They are also facing drug and firearms charges.
Keion Raymond Dunn, 20, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Danrius Bernard Hendricks, 22, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and misdemeanor violation of probation.
