Police continue to investigate a shooting last month in The Block area of east Athens in which a 54-year-old man suffered several gunshot wounds.
The incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. January 26 on Nellie B Avenue when a woman on the porch of her Vine Street home saw Anthony Williams being chased by another man who shot at him multiple times.
When officers arrived officers arrived at the scene Williams was lying on the road and screaming for help. He claimed to not know who shot him or why and he was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The witness could only describe the suspect as a thin male who was dressed all in black.
