A Clarke County grand jury has issued an indictment for the shooting of a man last month on Nellie B Avenue.
David Lee Wilhelm, 51, was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, according to the indictment filed Tuesday in Superior Court.
The charges stem from his arrest for the shooting of 54-year-old Fairview Street resident Anthony Williams on the night of January 26.
Authorities have not released a motive for the attack.
Wilhelm is detained without bail pending arraignment, scheduled for May 5.
