A student was arrested Monday at North Oconee High School for bring a gun onto the campus on Rocky Branch Road in Bogart.
Sheriff James Hale said the student was 16 years old, and that a juvenile complaint was filed charging him with possession of a firearm in a school safety zone.
Deputies secured an unloaded shotgun from the teen's vehicle, he said, noting that no other students had been endangered.
