One college football program is off to a hot start in this year's transfer portal.
With 10 total transfer commitments, Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes hold the No. 1 spot in the transfer portal rankings by a fairly large margin.
The next-highest ranked program is South Carolina with seven commitments, per 247Sports' transfer portal rankings.
Here's Colorado's full list of transfer commitments so far:
Tyler Johnson (4-star offensive lineman)
Keaten Wade (4-star EDGE)
Will Shepard (4-star wide receiver)
Chamon Metayer (4-star tight end)
Terrell Timmons Jr. (3-star wide receiver)
Destin Wade (3-star quarterback)
Yakiri Walker (3-star offensive lineman)
Matthew Bedford (3-star offensive tackle)
Kahlil Benson (3-star offensive lineman)
Justin Mayers (3-star offensive lineman)
Sanders and the Buffaloes have a clear agenda when it comes to adding talent in this year's portal. After putting out one of the worst offensive-line products in FBS this past season, its obvious the Colorado program is attempting to bolster its front line. In addition to these five offensive line commits in the transfer portal, the team also landed a commitment from five-star lineman recruit Jordan Seaton.
If Colorado can hold its No. 1 position in this year's transfer portal rankings, it will be the second year in a row that Sanders and the Buffaloes finish with the top spot. In the first season of the Coach Prime era, Colorado welcomed a whopping 51 new transfers — including five-star cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter.
