Nowhere Road house fire leaves one victim dead, two hospitalized

One person who found dead and two others were hospitalized from a fire on Saturday that destroyed a house on Nowhere Road in Jackson County.

Athens-Clarke Fire and Emergency Services was one of several agencies that assisted in fighting the blaze that occurred just over the county line.

According to Nicholson Area Fire Rescue, during fire operations at the Nowhere Road site one victim was found deceased in the fire and two other victims were rescued by a passersby and transported by Madison County EMS. They both were hospitalized and are reported to be in stable condition at this time.

The cause of death and cause of fire are under investigation by the Georgia Fire Marshal and Jackson County.Coroner's Office..

The identities of the victims have not been released.

I lived on the Nowhere Rd for 38 years and have passed this house a gazillion times. This is heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers for all involved.
