Athens-Clarke County police on Sunday released a forensic artist’ sketch of a suspect thy was involved in a robbery that occurred on the outskirts of downtown early Saturday morning.
The robbery occurred around the 300 block of Oconee Street, according to police. That would place the incident in the general vicinity of The Mark Athens apartments and Steeplechase Apartments.
The sketch by a Georgia Bureau of Investigation forensic artist is in addition to a surveillance camera image of the suspect that police previously release.
Police asked that anyone with information about the incident or recognizes the suspect to contact Detective Harrison at david.harrison@accgov.com.
The police department issued a media release that reminded citizens to always be aware of their surroundings, stay together in groups, and report suspicious activity by calling 911.
