A Walton County school teacher was killed and her minister husband injured when they were shot at a family Christmas gathering in Monroe.
When officers responded Wednesday night to a reported shooting at a home on Maple Lane they found the lifeless body of Tyeisha Colley in an SUV, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Jermaul Colley, 41, had also been shot and he was transported to the hospital.
A nephew, 21-year-old Devin Sullivan, was arrested and subsequently charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Tyeisha taught fifth grade at the Thomas G. Scott Elementary School in Forsyth and Jermaul is a minister.
