The Maned Wolf is the lone member of its genus, Chrysocyon.

These unique creatures are named “wolf” yet closely resemble a long-legged fox.

However, they are neither wolf nor fox, rather, they are their own distinct species. The Maned Wolf is native to South America and is the largest canid in that area of the world.
