Science fact of the day: Sloth bears are noisy eaters

Sloth Bears are extremely loud while eating. They dine mostly on termites and ants as well as honey, sugarcane, flowers, eggs, fruit, grubs, and carrion.

They use their lips and tongue to create suction in order to eat many of their preferred foods.

The sucking or slurping sounds they generate when eating can be heard up to 330 feet (100 meters) away!
