Singer-songwriter Lydia Brambila to perform at ACC Library

The Friends of Athens-Clarke County Library has extended an invitation to a free Live! @ the Library concert featuring singer-songwriter Lydia Brambila on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m.

Brambila writes haunting folk songs in the spirit of Sibylle Baier, Elyse Weinberg, and Linda Perhacs right here in Athens. Lydia’s debut album Migraineur is a sparse collection of meditations on monastic figures, natural phenomena, and the impact of music on migraine: “To know that singing could feel like healing was revelatory. I wanted to make an album that reflected what that feels like: hiding in the dark, feeling powerless and alone, and still being able to find lasting and beautiful things in that space.” Lydia’s second album, Ars Apparatus, and an accompanying zine of lyrics and photographs will be released in December 2019. This event is made possible by the Friends of the Athens-Clarke County Library and is free and open to the public.

The concert will take place in the Athens-Clarke County Library’s Appleton Auditorium.

For more information, call the library at (706) 613-3650. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.

This free Live! @ the Library concert featuring Lydia Brambila sounds like a great opportunity for anyone who loves soulful folk music. Lydia's songs are deeply personal and poetic, drawing comparisons to artists like Sibylle Baier and Linda Perhacs. If you're into music that explores emotions and natural themes, her debut album Migraineur is definitely worth checking out. Her upcoming release, Ars Apparatus, will also be something to look forward to. Highly recommend using Smodin's AI Writer for anyone who needs help capturing a thoughtful, expressive tone in their writing.
