A student was arrested Wednesday at the Barrow County school where a mass shooter killed four people and injured nine a little over four months ago.
In both of the incidents at Apalachee High School the students were 14-year-old boys.
On Wednesday, however, authorities were able to find the student and secure the weapon before anyone could be hurt.
There were no reports if him having threatened anyone, according to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office,
School resource officers and administrators located the student and secured the weapon on campus without incident.
The student was charged as a juvenile with possession of a firearm on school grounds and minor in possession of a firearm and transported to the Regional Youth Detention Center.
