A tip recently led police to an extended stay hotel in Athens where they arrested a woman who is wanted in Florida for trafficking pain pills.
The anonymous caller told the Athens-Clarke County Police Department that 41-year-old Nichole Marie Brave was wanted by the Hillsborogh County Sheriff’s Department for trafficking hydrocodone and that she was registered under a male’s name at Intown Suites on South Milledge Avenue.
Police said they also learned that there were active warrants for the woman’s arrest in Oconee County for theft and drug possession and in Athens for a hit-and-run collision that occurred in April while she fled from a police traffic stop in an unregistered and uninsured car.
Brave is being detained without bail at the Clarke County Jail.
