UGA sorority gal once again smiles for jailhouse camera

A University of Georgia student whose glamour mugshot went viral last week has once again posed for a jailhouse photo.

Lily Frances Stewart, a 19-year-old from St. Simons Island, was booked into the county jail in Athens at 5:26 a.m. today on charges of loitering/prowling and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

She was released at 10:57 a.m. upon posting bonds totaling $4,500.

The charges were made by the UGA Police Department, but details of the incident that landed Stewart briefly behind bars were not immediately available.

Stewart’s arrest comes a few weeks after she was arrested In Morgan County and her booking photo went viral online and in the national media.

She was arrested on March 8 for “speeding in excess of maximum limits,” which can carry a fine of up to $1,000.

One media outlet reported that Stewart was arrested afor speeding at 85 mph in a 55-mph zone while heading to a fraternity party in Milledgeville.

In her mugshot, Stewart is smiling widely, leading online viewers to comment in appreciation of her appearance.

“They done locked up Miss America,” wrote one viewer.

“They hate to see a baddie thrive,” another commented.

According to her LinkedIn profile Stewart has attended UGA since 2023 and is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

“Guilty of stealing my heart, your honor,” read a comment about the Morgan County mugshot, with another adding “In excess of speeding up my heart rate, your honor.”
