Two women were severely injured last week when they were attacked inside an Athens nightclub by a suspect who used a bottle as a weapon.
The victims did not know what instigated the assault, but police said they both had been previously involved in altercations with the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Mierral Limesha McDonald of Chalfont Lane.
The incident happened early in the morning of December 28 at Rodeo Night Club on Commerce Road.
The victims reportedly had been minding their own business “vibing” when McDonald smashed a bottle across the bridge of one victim’s nose and used the broken bottle to cut the other victim’s arm.
McDonald was arrested the next day on warrants charging her with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery.
She was denied bail and is being held in pretrial detention at the county jail.
