The Zimbabwean woman who was murdered last month in an eastside Athens had been shot in her face, according to court records.
Esnati Thalani Gurura, 48, was allegedly killed by 27-year-old Kendall Elon Boone at the apartment on Royale Road where they had lived together.
On the night of November 4 Boone “with malice aforethought, either express or implied, caused the death of Esnati Gurura by shooting her in the face,”
a homicide detective stated in an arrest warrant affidavit filed in Superior Court.
The woman was killed instantly in what police said was an act of domestic violence.
Boone has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
He was denied bail during a December 2nd hearing in Superior Court.
